Fragrance of the Lord
Justin on the Topic of Signs and Wonders

Something mysterious happened at a recent prayer meeting at church, and I’m going to share it with you now!

My friend Lisa and I were praying up front with everyone at the end of the meeting. We had joined hands, and I had joined hands with two guys to my right. After the prayer, I smelled this incredible smell on my left hand, and assumed that Lisa had some kind of lotion on. I mentioned something to her about the smell, and she said she could smell it too, but it wasn’t anything that she put on.

That caused me to smell my right hand (that was not touching her), and the fragrance was on that hand too! It’s impossible to describe what this smelled like, but we both thought that it was the fragrance of Jesus. It was sweet, and earthy like oil and perfume. It was so strong, and it smelled so good that we were sniffing away the whole ride home! It was only on our hands, not on our clothes or anywhere else. We both have never experienced anything like this before! If this is what Jesus smells like, I can’t wait to see Him in heaven!

Of course I did some google searching to see if anyone else had experienced this before, or if they had an answer to this mystery. I didn’t have any luck but I did find this: www.hisessence.com

They have candles that are inspired by scriptures in the bible!

I’m buying some right now, just to see if they got it right;)

Oh wow, I’ve experienced this in a dramatic way…

I remember that day…I was tired and when I got back into my room and lay down, suddenly my room was filled with a sweet fragrance which I was unable to describe. I was refreshed in my spirit and even in my body after smelling this. When I got out of my room and came down to the living room, the fragrance followed me. The Lord brought a verse to my mind:

But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him. For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. [2 Cor 2: 14-15]

The reality that I was a vessel that literally carried God’s Presence where ever I went blew my mind!

We are the aroma of Christ! =)

It’s nice to know that others have this experience too. I experience it often, usually during praise and worship and sometimes while reading the bible and while getting revelation on a piece of scripture. It’s a wonderful fragrance, perfumed and perceived as a smokey essence (not the smell of smoke) but as the essence of smoke. It usually fills the room and can also be smelled on a person of faith–I knew a prayer warrior who had the fragrance all over him. I told him about it, but he had no idea what I was talking about.

I had an experience in church, I was worshipping the Lord when He gave me a vision, the vision was me being caught up into heaven, and their among the clouds was this door. The door opened and Jesus was standing their and he gave me a wonderful hug and in the vision I knew He smelt beautiful, but I couldnt smell Him myself (it was on His hair). The word acacia wood came to my mind, so I looked up scripture and googled until I came to your website. I am trying to put everything together and understand what the Lord is speaking to me.

    Thank you,
Jennifer (God Bless You and may we experience His fragrance in our lives!!) Amen
