Life Isn’t Always Easy
Justin on the Topic of Personal

All I can say is “Jesus come quickly”. I don’t know what’s going on, but I’m wondering where God is, and if He cares about earth anymore. Please pray for me now. I need it.

I’m updating this now (January 1, 2008) to say that this night marked a fresh renewal of my mind. My flesh died to complaining that night, and ever since I have learned to shut-up, and praise God no matter what my circumstances look like. He is always there!

God bless you Justin … God’s mysterious will is often hard to see … but we must continue to have faith in the dark times. Joy comes in the morning.

    Justin,

I recently learned of you by a mutual friend, Gina. She shared with me your testimony and referenced your website. I am impressed with what you have created and your willingness to share your personal thoughts with “the world”. In reading your entries I know that you now understand the Trinity and thus when you ask “Where is God?”, remember that he indwells you by the Holy Spirit. We all face trials in our lives. I know, from Gina, that times are tough right now. However, God never leaves us or fails us - we are the ones who choose to turn away! But we must keep our eyes focused on him. As you are well aware, Satan will work much harder now to decieve you of your faith. He is not happy that you have claimed Christ as your Savior. God will bring you through “the valleys” of life. Hang in there! I have been moved to monitor your website and provide feedback and encouragement. Know that you are being lifted up in prayer.

John - Thank you very much for your words of encouragement. I appreciate it!

Eric - I’m honored to have you at my site, and I appreciate your prayers, and words of encouragement. I know God is there, and I know He is in control. I don’t understand what path He is taking me down right now, but I know it’s a work that I probably wouldn’t believe if He told me.

Sometimes God lets us walk through the “valley of death” (or so it seems), and sometimes we choose that ourselves, but either way, know that God is with you. This may be one of those times where you have to walk by faith, not by sight. If God was always visible, we wouldn’t need faith, and we’d have to believe. But in the tough times, He stretches us and even breaks us, teaching us to depend on Him and not our own wisdom and reasoning and understanding.

I don’t know your situation, but God does, and He is not caught off guard or surprised in any way. He already has a path laid out before you, and it will lead you closer to Him. You can take encouragement in that. Look at Romans 8:28 for one promise. That verse helps me when things don’t make sense and look bad. God has a plan, and He will work even bad situations out for His glory, if only we love and trust Him.

Ouch, yelp if you will, but do not resist His work on you. Discipline is painful, but it produces a harvest of righteousness…
