The Greatest Love
Justin on the Topic of Salvation

The other night I was crying out to God for a Word. He spoke into my spirit, Ephesians 2:4-5 which says:

But God — so rich is He in His mercy! Because of and in order to satisfy the great and wonderful and intense love with which He loved us,

Even when we were dead (slain) by [our own] shortcomings and trespasses, He made us alive together in fellowship and in union with Christ; [He gave us the very life of Christ Himself, the same new life with which He quickened Him, for] it is by grace (His favor and mercy which you did not deserve) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ’s salvation).

Now, this wasn’t a new revelation for me, but God always finds a way to keep me aware of this foundational belief. Do you understand that He died for you so that He could satisfy His love for you? Do you realize that when He sacrificed Himself, He already knew every sin you were going to commit in your life, and yet He still loved you enough to do this? Immediately after I read this, I asked God to speak to me some more. I then heard Colossians 1:14 which says:

In Whom we have our redemption through His blood, [which means] the forgiveness of our sins.

It’s not a coincidence that I opened up to these two verses that are directly related to each other! Isn’t it awesome how God is able to communicate with us through His Word? I remember when I first started reading the Bible with the help of God, and I would get Scriptures in books that I wasn’t even familiar with. I would be so excited when I found it, to discover that I wasn’t making it up in my head, and that it was actually a real verse! Now I trust God enough to know when I hear a verse in my spirit, it is not only going to exist, but it is also going to be a powerful message!

Are you listening to Him when you read? Do you know the wonderful things He wants to share with you?

Congrats bro! =) You deserve it! Whenever Christians lose focus on His love, they move into religion and fanaticism. His love is essence!
