Site Stats: Some Interesting Searches

Site Stats is a wonderful program that allows you to obtain all kinds of information about the people who are visiting your website. One of the things that I love is that you can see what site they were on before they came to your site (aka the referral). It’s really fun to see what people searched for at google.com to get to my site.

Here are the peculiar google searches that have led people here:

  1. How demon’s affect a Christian’s life
  2. Why does the devil keep in bondage
  3. two tongues with interpretation prayer language
  4. praying in tongues for hours
  5. What happened to Arthur Walkington Pink
  6. How to receive the gift of tongues
  7. Carl Thomas good acceptable perfect
  8. yokes to be broken prayers
  9. how to battle the spirit of addiction

I laughed at “how to receive the gift of tongues”. When you get a pair of shoes do you have to ask for the laces?

Why does the devil keep in bondage? Well, he really doesn’t. People stay in bondage because they can’t understand the FINISHED work on the cross, or they just aren’t ready to be free.

If you plan on praying in tongues for hours, make sure you have plenty of water!

I’m confused about the Carl Thomas one…

To this day: 1671 unique visitors with an average visit of 3 minutes. I guess I need to work on captivating people’s attention for a little longer!

Updates from Justin

Hey Guys! I just wanted to take a moment to update you on a few things…

I was recently awarded the Perseverance Award by Sidharth Mohandas, which you can view here.

Sidharth says,

Dear friends,

I would like to present an award called Perseverance Award on behalf of Imrah Ministries. I want to take this opportunity to acknowledge those bloggers who have invested their very life in their blogs so as to encourage, build and warn others.

Thank you Sid!

In other news, my business has been doing really well. The season of lack I was going through seems to be over, and I learned quite a few things. I was close to living on the streets, and as a result, I have learned to appreciate EVERYTHING so much more. The biggest lesson learned is that I can only depend on God for all things. Had I not been in constant prayer and communication with Him, I don’t know where I’d be right now.

When I was struggling financially, it was kind of hard to think about a relationship, but now that I’m on my feet again, I have been giving it a lot of thought. I’m seeking God on this, and I have been praying that He would send me the perfect girl. I know no one is perfect, but there is someone that He has planned for me (hopefully), and if marriage is in God’s plan, it is perfect enough for me!

I don’t know how potential women will view my testimony and my past. I suppose some might run as far away as possible. That is expected, but I try not to let that shatter my dreams. I know that with God anything is possible, and I’m living proof. If He can transform me from the inside out, He can do anything!

That’s an interesting thing to elaborate on. How have I been transformed from the inside out? Besides the attraction to women that I never had before, He has also done wonders with my personality. I’m learning more about what it means to be a man. I’m also learning the major differences between men and women. Generally, most women are emotional thinkers and men are rational thinkers. I always wondered why I could give the best advice to my friends, and they just couldn’t seem to understand. The problem was that most of my friends were girls who reasoned with their emotions! It has been nice to develop some healthy relationships with men who aren’t emotional. I have learned that it’s okay not to wear your heart on your sleeve. In fact, if you are a man it’s better that you don’t! After 21 years of having mainly friends who were girls, and constantly sharing my “feelings” with them, it is nice to talk about something else! With the guys, we just make fun of each other, and tell bad jokes. It’s great! Glory to God because He has restored me in many ways! I suppose I would have to write a whole other blog to explain everything in detail. The scripture about there not being enough books to contain the works that Jesus did comes to my mind. He has done so much in my life, that I could spend the rest of my days just writing books about what He did in 21 years. Maybe that will be a future project?

Long story short, pray for me to meet a suitable wife. I hate to rush God, but if you feel led to pray that He does it quickly, it would be appreciated!

Okay, money, love, business, awards…have I covered everything? Let’s see I need my breaks changed, I forgot to grab a Sunday paper, I made pea soup last week, and I got a haircut. Now you know my life!

Oh politics. I forgot politics! Please don’t vote for anyone who supports killing babies, that’s all I have to say!

Do it His Way, It Really Works

I am daily amazed at the behavior of Christians. I’m even more amazed at the Christians who are shocked when they disobey God and have to pay the consequences. Yesterday, a brother in Christ said this to me:

“I’m going through some tough times right now. I’m not allowed to see my son.”

“How come?” I responded.

“His momma has issues.” Apparently this guy had sex outside of marriage, got his girlfriend pregnant, and she hit the road.

I couldn’t help but to say, “Do you think there is a reason God intended people to be married before they had sex?” He was speechless, but a nearby sister in Christ said, “oh it doesn’t really matter.”

I can understand that mankind has constantly been in rebellion to God since the Garden of Eden, but I can’t understand why mankind is shocked by God’s response. I recently had one of those cute little God stories in my e-mail. This particular one wasn’t so “cute”, but it was full of truth. A girl wrote a letter to God asking Him where He was when the man came into her school and started shooting her friends. Then she goes on asking where He was at all the other school shootings that have happened over the years. God’s simple response is, “sorry, I’m not allowed in schools.”

Of course, I believe that God can take any of our mistakes and use them for His Glory. That is one of the amazing things about our Lord. No matter how bad we mess up, there is always hope in Christ. The little boy that was conceived out of wedlock might grow up to lead thousands to Christ. The guy who fornicated might have learned a lesson that will bring Him closer to God. The kids, parents, and teachers of those schools might even realize that something is not right in the classrooms, and maybe we need to go back to some of the old ways.

The fact is, there is still going to be a price we have to pay for our rebellion. “The wages of sin is death.” Jesus conquered death, and He conquered sin, but He also said that, “those who sin, are slaves to sin.” So how, as Christians who are called to be slaves to righteousness, can we continue to be slaves to sin?

The other fact is that God’s way works. He designed things a certain way for a good reason. Sex before marriage creates problems. If you are reading this I want your input. Quit being silent about these things! Let me know what is bothering you lately in the Body of Christ, and what are some ways that Christians and the world are seeing the negative effects of our rebellion?

The Still Small Voice

Occasionally, when the Lord is teaching me something, it is rather obvious. Most of the time however, it is “the still small voice” [1 Kings 19:12] that I must strive to listen to, or I just might miss the lessons He is yearning to teach me.

It has been that small voice that has consistently done big and wonderful things. Sometimes we ignore the voice of God, and listen to our own way of thinking instead. Other times, we might mistakenly label our thoughts as God’s thoughts. I once said that I can tell if it’s God talking if it disagrees with what I want to do. If the voice is justifying what I want to do, then it is probably my flesh speaking. I still believe this to an extent, but the more my mind is renewed with Heavenly things vs. worldly things; I find that I’m not disagreeing as much.

When that happens everything flows better, and I have a sense of peace knowing that I am in the will of God. When you are in the will of God you are traveling with the river’s current.

Traveling against the current isn’t fun. Some days I wake up and I’m really grouchy. I won’t pray, and I won’t listen to any worship music. I just go through the day getting angry at drivers on the road, forgetting stuff, running into doors [I’m such a klutz sometimes], and everything seems like a challenge. Finally, at the end of the day, the still small voice says, “you better talk to Me”. God knows we can’t do anything apart from Him, and sometimes we have to have those bad days to remind us of how much we need Him.

It’s important to connect with Him everyday. It’s important to hear His voice, and have the personal relationship with Him that religion doesn’t offer. You can go to church, have a bible study, sing some worship music, and go to sleep. That still doesn’t mean you have a relationship with God. A relationship involves two or more people. At the end of the day, it’s just you and Him.

He listens to you. Don’t you think it’s time you started listening to Him?

Repentance

If you’re a professing Christian in these last days, you might have a false concept of what repentance is. In fact, you might even believe that Jesus loves you so much, that there is no need for repentance. If this is you, allow me to guide you down a better path. If this isn’t you, then feel free to add to what I say in the comments.

The reason this is on my heart is because I see a lot of Christians that are doing the same things as everyone else [those who are living according to the world’s rules]. Actually, I have seen a lot of unbelievers behaving better than those who are claiming to be Christians. This is outrageous, but it is the truth! I know you have seen it too, and you might be wondering why. One possible answer is that we have forgot the need to repent.

What is repenting though?

Dictionary.com has this to say:

There are three Greek words used in the New Testament to denote repentance. (1.) The verb _metamelomai_ is used of a change of mind, such as to produce regret or even remorse on account of sin, but not necessarily a change of heart. This word is used with reference to the repentance of Judas (Matthew 27:3).

(2.) Metanoeo, meaning to change one’s mind and purpose, as the result of after knowledge. This verb, with (3) the cognate noun _metanoia_, is used of true repentance, a change of mind and purpose and life, to which remission of sin is promised. Evangelical repentance consists of (1) a true sense of one’s own guilt and sinfulness; (2) an apprehension of God’s mercy in Christ; (3) an actual hatred of sin (Psalm 119:128; Job 42:5, 6; 2 Corinthians 7:10) and turning from it to God; and (4) a persistent endeavour after a holy life in a walking with God in the way of his commandments. The true penitent is conscious of guilt (Psalm 51:4, 9), of pollution (Psalm 51:5, 7, 10), and of helplessness (Psalm 51:11; Psalm 109:21, 22). Thus he apprehends himself to be just what God has always seen him to be and declares him to be. But repentance comprehends not only such a sense of sin, but also an apprehension of mercy, without which there can be no true repentance (Psalm 51:1; 130:4).

I especially like 2 Corinthians 7:10 NIV which says, “Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.”

Some of us just say, “Father forgive me for doing ______”, and we never stop doing what we were doing wrong after that. We repeat this cycle over and over, and when our conscience starts to feel polluted, heavy, and weighed down with the sins we have committed, we have another session with God asking for forgiveness. Don’t get me wrong, asking for forgiveness is a very good thing! Some people don’t even bother with that, but there is more. There has to come a time when you finally decide that enough is enough. You can choose whether or not you are going to continue lying, stealing, lusting, fornicating, etc, and you can come to a place where you literally hate the thought of participating in these repulsive things.

God absolutely hates sin. Do you?

Something is Terribly Wrong
r.jpeg

I read this article today about some people in the Philippines who are “crucifying” themselves in a ritual that is supposed to honor the death of Jesus Christ.

The girl in the picture is only 18 years old, and voluntarily signed up to have nails driven into her hands. The few who participated with her also had their backs whipped with paddles that had broken glass on them. Apparently this area is mainly Catholic and just one of the ways that they show their appreciation for what the Lord has done.

Are you kidding me? Jesus Christ died on the cross to pay for the sins of the world, not to have some 18 year-old lunatic nail herself on the cross while the other crazy village people sit around eating ice cream and drinking beer. This is mockery!

Little girl, please take the INRI sign off of your celebrity pedestal. You are NOT the King of the Jews.

Are You a Loving Christian?

Here’s the scenario:

A Christian man who once identified as a homosexual was delivered and set free by the power of God. He has repented, and has been made fully aware that homosexuality is a dangerous sin. Because of his extreme encounter with the Lord in this situation, he is passionate about warning others of this sin. However, the majority of Christians believe that they are supposed to “love the sinner, and hate the sin”, which basically means that they have to keep their mouth shut and never say anything that would convict the person. Is this being a loving Christian?

Absolutely NOT! I’m constantly amazed at how Christians respond to the sin of homosexuality, and a multitude of other common sins. It’s at the point where if you speak against someone who is sinning, you are being “hateful”. They often toss around the phrase, “but God is love.” Yes, He is. He is perfect love, and perfect love doesn’t want you to sin!

Job 15:17-18 says,

Happy and fortunate is the man whom God reproves; so do not despise or reject the correction of the Almighty [subjecting you to trial and suffering]. For He wounds, but He binds up; He smites, but His hands heal.

God is going to make you uncomfortable sometimes. In fact, He is even going to hit you (smite), and give you wounds when you are doing something wrong. He does this, because He loves you!

Imagine you have a child (maybe you do), and you see that child stealing something in the store. Are you going to keep your mouth closed, and turn your head? NO! You are going to scold him, and hopefully punish him for his unacceptable behavior.

To keep our mouths closed for the sake of not making someone feel uncomfortable is not love. In the New Testament, if someone was guilty of committing the same sin over and over without repenting, they were publicly humiliated in the church! Are we doing this today?

Fornication is a sin that seems to be widely accepted in America. When is someone going to start telling people that this is wrong again? We need some tough love in this world!

Revelations 3:19 says,

Those whom I [dearly and tenderly] love, I tell their faults and convict and convince and reprove and chasten [I discipline and instruct them]. So be enthusiastic and in earnest and burning with zeal and repent [changing your mind and attitude].

What are your thoughts on this?

A Simple Response

Well this is the first time I have done this, so I’m kind of excited. Basically, Isaiah wrote a blog in response to my video blog, These Signs Should Follow, and now I get to respond to his response. Let me first say that I love my brother in Christ (Isaiah), and his blog is one of my favorites. Having different view points should not imply that we have made it a priority to rip each other to shreds on the information superhighway. In fact, I enjoy being challenged spiritually. It motivates me to study the Word of God, which is always a pleasure!

Alright, let’s get to the response…

What have I started? You know when I made my video about signs and wonders, I had no idea what kind of reaction I would get. I certainly didn’t think that people would make the assumption that I am one who searches out signs and wonders.

This is just a debate that baffles me. I don’t understand what the argument is…to be perfectly honest. Although, you present your side in a very respectable and balanced way, I still can’t shake the feeling that there is bitterness?

I have yet to meet anyone that searches for signs and wonders, and needs them in order to believe in God. However, I have seen many people who spend a lot of their time making arguments against signs and wonders. Is it really that threatening of an issue? I personally don’t think so. Are people who believe that signs and wonders are for today going to hell? Why would they?

People like to quote Matthew 24:24, but what is this verse really saying?

“For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.”

Notice the “if possible” part. In other words, the elect would be lead astray IF IT WERE POSSIBLE. How could we be lead astray if we are filled with the Spirit of Truth as we have been commanded to be? Those who are lead astray are not the elect. They do not have the Spirit of Truth, which is the Holy Spirit, therefore they are not saved.

I’ve noticed that many people use this scripture to support their fears. If you are abiding in Christ and the Spirit of Truth is in you, what are you afraid of? Do you not trust that God will not lead you down the wrong path?

For me, false signs and wonders are boring, and obvious to spot. Why? Because they don’t turn my focus to the Lord. The Holy Spirit points to Jesus. If the Holy Spirit doesn’t do the miracle, people don’t turn to Jesus. When I have seen a true sign or a wonder, it is almost impossible not to fall on my face and worship our Lord and Savior.

If people are missing this experience, it’s not my place to judge whether they are saved or not (as some Pentecostal/Charismatics will do). All I can say is that if you haven’t encountered God in this way…what are you waiting for? The veil was torn!

I could go on and on, but my time is limited. There are demons to be cast out, and people that need healed. Glory to God!

There is one more thing. Your interpretation of Matthew 12:39-40 is out of context, and misunderstood. I have seen many use this to justify that we should not be looking for signs, but that wasn’t the point of the verse. The Jews wanted Jesus to prove that He was the Messiah, and He was upset with them that they could not recognize Him without a sign. We should not demand a sign from God to believe, that is the lesson to be learned. Jesus said no sign would be given to them, but notice that didn’t stop Him from healing the sick, raising the dead, and casting out demonic-spirits. These are all considered signs and wonders.

I agree with you that people shouldn’t search for signs and wonders, or base their faith on them. As I stated before, I haven’t met such people. I’m sorry if you have, and if it has hindered you from seeing the simple truth that it is normal Christianity to have signs following us (not the other way around). After all, we are children of the Most High, and we are seated with Christ in heavenly places.

Raised From the Dead

I was just informed by Mark at www.madetopraisehim.com of an incredible miracle performed in the name of Jesus Christ. A man in Florida was actually raised from the dead in a hospital. He had been dead for an hour, but the doctor prayed over him, and he came back to life! The amazing thing is that there is medical evidence, it was in America (where not many things like this happen because of a lack of faith), and it has been reported in the media! I am overwhelmed with joy! Our God reigns!

Read the article, and give God the glory He deserves!

A strange coincidence for the day is that right before I read the news report I got an e-mail pointing me to a video message from Patricia King on Extreme Prophetic. The message was about raising the dead!

Jesus, you rock!

A Demonstration of Power

About a week ago there was a new guy that started at work. Before being introduced to him, the Spirit of God came upon me and told me a few things about this kid; personal things that I would have no way of knowing. I call this a “word of knowledge”.

A few night after that, we were in the break room. He dropped something and yelled out, “Jesus Christ!”. I immediately said, “whoa, that’s not really necessary.” Almost instantly conviction hit him, but rather than apologize, he dug himself deeper. “Well who the *&%$ is Jesus? Is He God or is He man? It makes no &*%$ sense!”

I could see this moment was hand-picked for me by God. He seems to enjoy sending me certain types of people. I began to tell him about Jesus, and how He was fully God, and fully Man. Then I used a few Way of the Master techniques to explain to him why Jesus had to die for us. He was silenced, but I didn’t stop there. No, no, no…not me. I still had that word of knowledge tucked in my sleeves, and this was the perfect moment to hit him with it.

I looked at his soul and said, “your parents are divorced.” An expression of bewilderment overcame his face and he replied, “you can tell that by looking at me?” I answered, “no, God speaks to me and He told me. He also told me that you are good with computers and that you are going to start a website. You have been hurt by this, and He wants to use your talents to reach others.”

Completely in shock now, he says, “you know, you aren’t the first person to tell me this.” I told him that this meeting was not a coincidence, and that it was a divine appointment from God. He said, “I know. I can feel it. I need to go to a church, don’t I?”

Yeah, but first you need to surrender your life to Jesus Christ!

Isn’t God amazing? Astounding? Incredibly and undeniably the most majestic King of kings, and Lord of lords? It’s moments like this, that I just want to give Him a “high five”, and say, “way to go God. After 2000 years, your Gospel is still reaching the lost.”

The Government We Deserve

Dear America,

Your own wickedness shall chasten and correct you, and your backslidings and desertion of faith shall reprove you. Know therefore and recognize that this is an evil and bitter thing: First, you have forsaken the Lord your God; second, you are indifferent to Me and the fear of Me is not in you, says the Lord of hosts.

You have turned your backs to Me, and not your faces; but in the time of trouble, you will say, Arise [O Lord] and save us!

But where are your gods that you made for yourself? Let them arise if they can save you in the time of your trouble!

Why do you complain and remonstrate against My wrath? You all have rebelled and revolted against Me, says the Lord. [Jeremiah 2]

God led me to these words last night which are actually concerning Israel, but I couldn’t help noticing that our own country is guilty of the same offenses. These words pierced my heart because all around me I see the morality of this country slipping down the drain. Does that mean we have a bunch of bad people here? Not really. Actually, most of the people I know are in agreement that this country isn’t what it used to be, but they don’t realize what the true problem is.

A nation full of people that THINK they are good does not mean that the nation is going to be good. In fact, Jesus said there are none who are good, but God. By turning our backs to the only One who is good, we will suffer the consequence of losing His goodness. A country without the grace of God is in trouble.

With that said, it comes as no surprise that someone who is claiming to be a Christian is now saying that same-sex marriage should be legal. I’m talking about Barak Obama, who recently referred those who are in disagreement with his position on this controversial issue to read the Sermon on the Mount. According to him, it’s more important than “an obscure passage in Romans”. [Read full article]

I’m pretty sure that Jesus didn’t teach people that homosexual marriages were okay. I’m also pretty sure that a Christian who is referring to any part of God’s written Word as “obscure” is on a dangerous path.

Sadly, he resembles the majority of Christians in this ungodly nation.

Healings, Music, and a Spaghetti Fish

Recently I had some friends over for dinner, and as our conversation shifted to the Lord, one of my friends looked down at her plate and screamed. The photo you see is the reason for the yelp (and why my ears are still hurting). As you can see, it is the popular Christian symbol known as the Jesus fish. No, we did not start worshipping the noodle. I don’t want to give you the wrong idea here! Instead, we laughed hysterically, and thanked God for His presence in the room, with or without the spaghetti fish.

Later in the night, as the presence of God continued to fill the room, we went into prayer. I went behind one friend, and I felt like there was a spirit in her back. I laid my hands on her and commanded the spirit to reveal its name, and she said “fibromyalgia”. She had been suffering from this painful condition for years. As soon as she said that, I commanded that spirit to leave.

She hasn’t had any pain there for over a week now.

Last night, I was in prayer with another friend. I had been having muscle pain in my back and neck for the past few weeks, and I asked her if she felt led to lay hands and pray for healing. She prayed to herself for a few minutes and then came over and laid her hands on my shoulder. Her hand was like a branding iron, and as she told the pain to go in the name of Jesus, I could feel it being sucked out of me. It was instant. I couldn’t even believe it, and I still can hardly comprehend what happened. I have never had anything like this happen before!

Healing the sick is a sign of a true believer [Mark 16:16-18], and yet there are still people who don’t believe it’s possible. Well, I’m here to tell you that it is! I have witnessed it, and I am testifying now of the awesome power of God!

Finally, I found an incredible radio station that I have been listening to now. It’s called Prophetic Worship Radio, and it features a lot of worship music from the International House of Prayer (IHOP). If you are like me, and the regular Christian rock music on the radio is getting boring, then check it out!

Standing for Righteousness

The other day during prayer with two of my friends, I began to prophesy a simple thing that was packed with power. I cried out, “the Lord searches the earth, seeking someone who will stand for righteousness. Who will stand? Who will stand for righteousness?”

That’s the gist of what I said and all I can really remember.

The next night, when I was praying by myself I began again with the “righteousness prayers”, and I told God that I would stand for righteousness. I volunteered myself (or maybe just answered a calling) to be a soldier on the front line of this battle (between God and the devil). The Bible says that we are not fighting against flesh and blood. There is a spiritual war going on, and we are just caught in the middle. I really believe that God is looking for people that are going to participate in this spiritual war. He has given us all the tools we need, and now we must accept what we are here to do!

Last night at work, I had a new experience. I was in the break room and one of the guys started talking about something rather disgusting (sexually related). Ordinarily, I would smile and try to ignore it, not wanting to cause any ripples or look like a prude. However, this time something came up inside me, and I was filled with a new strength. I said to him, “I’m a Christian, and that offends me. I would appreciate it if you didn’t speak like that around me.”

Immediately, I could see the conviction hit him like a ton of bricks, and he began apologizing repeatedly. I was not expecting that kind of reaction. In fact, I don’t know what I was expecting because it all happened so fast. Afterwards, I began to wonder why I had never done anything like that before. So now I have some questions for you…

Are you standing for righteousness? Do you tolerate ungodliness because you don’t want to stand out? Why is it that we feel like we should conform to everyone else’s sinful ways, and keep “our beliefs” to ourselves.

God is looking for people who will not tolerate the sins of the world, are you willing to stand?
