The Government We Deserve
Justin on the Topic of Current Events, Prophetic Words

Dear America,

Your own wickedness shall chasten and correct you, and your backslidings and desertion of faith shall reprove you. Know therefore and recognize that this is an evil and bitter thing: First, you have forsaken the Lord your God; second, you are indifferent to Me and the fear of Me is not in you, says the Lord of hosts.

You have turned your backs to Me, and not your faces; but in the time of trouble, you will say, Arise [O Lord] and save us!

But where are your gods that you made for yourself? Let them arise if they can save you in the time of your trouble!

Why do you complain and remonstrate against My wrath? You all have rebelled and revolted against Me, says the Lord. [Jeremiah 2]

God led me to these words last night which are actually concerning Israel, but I couldn’t help noticing that our own country is guilty of the same offenses. These words pierced my heart because all around me I see the morality of this country slipping down the drain. Does that mean we have a bunch of bad people here? Not really. Actually, most of the people I know are in agreement that this country isn’t what it used to be, but they don’t realize what the true problem is.

A nation full of people that THINK they are good does not mean that the nation is going to be good. In fact, Jesus said there are none who are good, but God. By turning our backs to the only One who is good, we will suffer the consequence of losing His goodness. A country without the grace of God is in trouble.

With that said, it comes as no surprise that someone who is claiming to be a Christian is now saying that same-sex marriage should be legal. I’m talking about Barak Obama, who recently referred those who are in disagreement with his position on this controversial issue to read the Sermon on the Mount. According to him, it’s more important than “an obscure passage in Romans”. [Read full article]

I’m pretty sure that Jesus didn’t teach people that homosexual marriages were okay. I’m also pretty sure that a Christian who is referring to any part of God’s written Word as “obscure” is on a dangerous path.

Sadly, he resembles the majority of Christians in this ungodly nation.

This is a sad but very true posting Justin. Immorality is everywhere and not just in America.

I’ve personally witnessed how American culture is copied and emulated by children in dozens of countries and it makes me ill.

Barak Obama is just a symptom of a culture that has turned their backs on God. That’s why it is so important that we stand up for the truth.

    Great post!

    Penetrating words…and prophetic.

The book of Isaiah gives us a prophetic glimpse of this:

The look on their faces testifies against them; they parade their sin like Sodom; they do not hide it.Woe to them! They have brought disaster upon themselves.
    [Isaiah 3:9]

    This is speaking about Sodomy…

This is what the Word of God has to say:

The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness

    Justin,

“….I’m pretty sure that Jesus didn’t teach people that homosexual marriages were okay.”

You are absolutely correct, he did not teach against it either.

Why? Because everyone knew the law.
Lev 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

The problem is that, today, Christendom believes the Laws of God were nailed to the cross. If this is true then why do we even discuss SIN?

The Biblical definition of Sin is the transgression of the Law.

1John 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

    Peace

Obama only claims to be a Christian, but what he has uttered so far cast doubts on that claim. On the other hand, Clinton isn’t such a great alternative either…

Theology Today is right. Children from all over the world copy the Americans. And so changes in America will certainly affect the rest of the world
