“Awesome Purpose” is a website/blog inspired by the scripture 2 Timothy 1:9. Each day this scripture is brought to life by the entries that are posted on this site. The revelation that changed my life was the simple fact that my life is not about me. It’s about God and His purpose. It’s become my personal mission to get people away from a self-centered way of life, and to place their focus on God. This blog is for believers and non-believers, and it is my hope that everyone can learn more about the true heart of Christianity.

I passionately cling to the knowledge that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. He was crucified on the cross for the sins of the world; He was resurrected on the third day, and anyone else who trusts in this will have eternal life (John 3:16). I believe that the Holy Spirit indwells the believer at the point of Salvation to guarantee our inheritance (Ephesians 1:14). I also believe that the filling of the Holy Spirit should be an ongoing process throughout a Christian’s entire life. I believe the gifts of the Spirit are still active in the world today, and that scripture confirms this. I believe in healings, miracles, speaking in tongues, casting out devils, and prophesying (Mark 16:17-18). I believe that the bible is the infallible Word of God, and that everything should be confirmed and tested in His Word. I hold a deep respect for the Scriptures, and I firmly believe that it is essential for a Christian to understand God’s Word (2 Timothy 3:16).

I’ll keep this short and sweet. I’m not perfect, I don’t have the whole bible memorized, and I only write what I feel led to write. If you don’t agree with something I say, I’m sorry. If something I said is completely inaccurate, please let me know. Like I said, I try to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit, but everyone makes mistakes, and let’s face it, sometimes we miss God. Don’t be afraid to inform me of such an error.
