The Repositioning

One of the things that has always amazed me is how God can position people to be exactly where they need to be for His own purpose. Often times, I’ll look back on the road that I have already traveled and I am overwhelmed with amazement.

Here’s an example scenario that occurs in my brain —- I lived in Pennsylvania, and hated it. I knew I wanted to get out of there as soon as I could. I loved Orlando, Florida because of vacationing here so it was always my dream to move here by myself. I can’t explain it, but it gave me hope. When I graduated, a series of events made the dream a reality. I moved here by myself, and lived by myself. I got a job at Red Lobster, and met a girl named Cassandra who led me to the Lord. My life didn’t really change much, and in fact I got a little worse, before I got better. We both got jobs at TGI Friday’s because we learned that we could make more money. Shortly after I was fired for calling in sick. I had never called in sick, and I was never late so it was completely unjust for me to be fired. However, about a month later I got a job as a design consultant at a furniture gallery. I worked there for a year, and one day a new lady got a job there. She happened to be a Spirit-filled charismatic/Pentecostal, and opened my eyes to many new things. I was filled with the Holy Spirit, delivered from homosexuality, smoking cigarettes, and more.

What if I had never moved to Orlando?

Isn’t it amazing where each little day to day event can lead us? Often times I worry about whether or not I am messing up God’s plans, but in the past, I didn’t even know He had plans for me, and He got me where He needed me to be. I’m not sure what plans He has for me now, but I trust that they will be done according to His will.

Here’s another fun example —- The other day I had a lot of things to do. I planned my whole day and I was set on accomplishing all my errands. Groceries, mall, a couple merchandise returns/exchanges, etc. Well, the day started out okay, but when I got to the mall it hadn’t opened yet, and it wasn’t going to open for a couple more hours. Frustrated, I decided to leave and skip it for another day. On the way home, I had the urge to treat myself to a nice breakfast. I called my friend (who just happens to be the Spirit-filled lady I mentioned before), and asked if she wanted to meet me there. After begging her for 20 minutes she finally decided to come. It took her about half an hour to get there, so I was a little frustrated. I started eating anyway, and when she got there we had a good time. We were getting ready to leave, and the Holy Spirit started manifesting so we had prayer in the parking lot, and it was awesome!

On the way home I was at a light, and I looked at the car next to me with shock. It was my mother at the same stop-light in a city of over 200,000 people. I laughed, and took it as a sign that I was right where I was supposed to be.

How has God repositioned you through the years? Do you find this aspect of life as amazing as I do?

A Simple Response

Well this is the first time I have done this, so I’m kind of excited. Basically, Isaiah wrote a blog in response to my video blog, These Signs Should Follow, and now I get to respond to his response. Let me first say that I love my brother in Christ (Isaiah), and his blog is one of my favorites. Having different view points should not imply that we have made it a priority to rip each other to shreds on the information superhighway. In fact, I enjoy being challenged spiritually. It motivates me to study the Word of God, which is always a pleasure!

Alright, let’s get to the response…

What have I started? You know when I made my video about signs and wonders, I had no idea what kind of reaction I would get. I certainly didn’t think that people would make the assumption that I am one who searches out signs and wonders.

This is just a debate that baffles me. I don’t understand what the argument is…to be perfectly honest. Although, you present your side in a very respectable and balanced way, I still can’t shake the feeling that there is bitterness?

I have yet to meet anyone that searches for signs and wonders, and needs them in order to believe in God. However, I have seen many people who spend a lot of their time making arguments against signs and wonders. Is it really that threatening of an issue? I personally don’t think so. Are people who believe that signs and wonders are for today going to hell? Why would they?

People like to quote Matthew 24:24, but what is this verse really saying?

“For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.”

Notice the “if possible” part. In other words, the elect would be lead astray IF IT WERE POSSIBLE. How could we be lead astray if we are filled with the Spirit of Truth as we have been commanded to be? Those who are lead astray are not the elect. They do not have the Spirit of Truth, which is the Holy Spirit, therefore they are not saved.

I’ve noticed that many people use this scripture to support their fears. If you are abiding in Christ and the Spirit of Truth is in you, what are you afraid of? Do you not trust that God will not lead you down the wrong path?

For me, false signs and wonders are boring, and obvious to spot. Why? Because they don’t turn my focus to the Lord. The Holy Spirit points to Jesus. If the Holy Spirit doesn’t do the miracle, people don’t turn to Jesus. When I have seen a true sign or a wonder, it is almost impossible not to fall on my face and worship our Lord and Savior.

If people are missing this experience, it’s not my place to judge whether they are saved or not (as some Pentecostal/Charismatics will do). All I can say is that if you haven’t encountered God in this way…what are you waiting for? The veil was torn!

I could go on and on, but my time is limited. There are demons to be cast out, and people that need healed. Glory to God!

There is one more thing. Your interpretation of Matthew 12:39-40 is out of context, and misunderstood. I have seen many use this to justify that we should not be looking for signs, but that wasn’t the point of the verse. The Jews wanted Jesus to prove that He was the Messiah, and He was upset with them that they could not recognize Him without a sign. We should not demand a sign from God to believe, that is the lesson to be learned. Jesus said no sign would be given to them, but notice that didn’t stop Him from healing the sick, raising the dead, and casting out demonic-spirits. These are all considered signs and wonders.

I agree with you that people shouldn’t search for signs and wonders, or base their faith on them. As I stated before, I haven’t met such people. I’m sorry if you have, and if it has hindered you from seeing the simple truth that it is normal Christianity to have signs following us (not the other way around). After all, we are children of the Most High, and we are seated with Christ in heavenly places.

Raised From the Dead

I was just informed by Mark at www.madetopraisehim.com of an incredible miracle performed in the name of Jesus Christ. A man in Florida was actually raised from the dead in a hospital. He had been dead for an hour, but the doctor prayed over him, and he came back to life! The amazing thing is that there is medical evidence, it was in America (where not many things like this happen because of a lack of faith), and it has been reported in the media! I am overwhelmed with joy! Our God reigns!

Read the article, and give God the glory He deserves!

A strange coincidence for the day is that right before I read the news report I got an e-mail pointing me to a video message from Patricia King on Extreme Prophetic. The message was about raising the dead!

Jesus, you rock!

Healings, Music, and a Spaghetti Fish

Recently I had some friends over for dinner, and as our conversation shifted to the Lord, one of my friends looked down at her plate and screamed. The photo you see is the reason for the yelp (and why my ears are still hurting). As you can see, it is the popular Christian symbol known as the Jesus fish. No, we did not start worshipping the noodle. I don’t want to give you the wrong idea here! Instead, we laughed hysterically, and thanked God for His presence in the room, with or without the spaghetti fish.

Later in the night, as the presence of God continued to fill the room, we went into prayer. I went behind one friend, and I felt like there was a spirit in her back. I laid my hands on her and commanded the spirit to reveal its name, and she said “fibromyalgia”. She had been suffering from this painful condition for years. As soon as she said that, I commanded that spirit to leave.

She hasn’t had any pain there for over a week now.

Last night, I was in prayer with another friend. I had been having muscle pain in my back and neck for the past few weeks, and I asked her if she felt led to lay hands and pray for healing. She prayed to herself for a few minutes and then came over and laid her hands on my shoulder. Her hand was like a branding iron, and as she told the pain to go in the name of Jesus, I could feel it being sucked out of me. It was instant. I couldn’t even believe it, and I still can hardly comprehend what happened. I have never had anything like this happen before!

Healing the sick is a sign of a true believer [Mark 16:16-18], and yet there are still people who don’t believe it’s possible. Well, I’m here to tell you that it is! I have witnessed it, and I am testifying now of the awesome power of God!

Finally, I found an incredible radio station that I have been listening to now. It’s called Prophetic Worship Radio, and it features a lot of worship music from the International House of Prayer (IHOP). If you are like me, and the regular Christian rock music on the radio is getting boring, then check it out!

Divine Appointments

It has always amazed me how God plans things so carefully. Today, I’m referring to “divine appointments”, or God-inspired meetings. These are situations where you meet with someone and you know that the hand of God is in it.

I have had many divine appointments in my life, all of which have served some divine purpose. It’s interesting to me that, had one circumstance been altered, the entire appointment might not have ever happened.

Recently, as I was leaving for church I saw that my neighbor’s vehicle had a Jesus sticker on the back of it. I have lived in this townhouse for about five months, and never once saw the sticker, or talked to my neighbor. When I got home later that evening, the same neighbor was outside grilling. I pulled into my garage, and I felt the Holy Spirit telling me to go talk to her. This was a little out of my character, not because I’m anti-social, but because I normally don’t initiate conversations with people. You can call it a flaw, I suppose!

However, I walked right up to her, and it looked as if maybe she had received the same message. She was more than ready to meet me, and I instantly felt comfortable around her. She had made a comment that she never hears me, and I laughed at that. I said to her, “I’m shocked, because I’m always up there praising, interceding, casting out demons, and blasting my Christian music.” I had absolutely no fear around her, and as I was talking to her I could see “spirit tears” developing in her eyes (that’s the new name I’m giving to moisture that appears in your eyes when you feel the presence of the Holy Spirit).

She said, “I can’t believe this whole time I’ve been safe. This whole time I’ve had someone praying next to me.” I gave her a hug, and told her that she had to come over some time for worship with Lisa and me.

As I came inside my home, I nearly fell down; the power of God was so heavy. I also couldn’t believe that for five months I had never seen this woman who’s walls are connected to mine. For five months, God had kept her hidden until the timing was right. Now, for the first time in my life, I have a neighbor. A real neighbor!

It’s not over though. That night I was led to write her a letter to let her know how blessed I was to meet her. I ran over and slipped it in her door. The next morning I saw an envelop in the crack of my own door. I braced myself for it’s contents. She had actually written me a poem! The nicest poem I have ever read, and probably the nicest thing that anyone has every done for me! Especially considering the fact that I had only met her the night before. Praise God!

It’s on my refrigerator as a reminder that there are still good people out there, and if you listen to God, and follow His leading, you just might meet some of them!

A Vision in Prayer

I was praying this afternoon, and I had a vision that I have actually had before. In it, I am joined with a large assembly of people, a number which cannot be counted, and we are all praising the Lord Jesus. The place we are gathered at resembles a giant stadium, like the Colosseum. As I look around me at the crowd, I notice that we are all made up of light that appears to be gold or platinum in color. Everything is clean and uniform. Then, the One we are praising descends from above in all of His Glory. It’s a moment of rejoicing, and I always seem to cry at this part of the vision. It’s an astonishing site, and it brings us all to our knees to worship Him!

Is this what Heaven will be like?

More on the Jericho March

Recently I posted about my friend Lisa and me doing a Jericho march around her apartment complex to stop the crime. Since then, we have marched around my complex, and her daughter’s complex.

Last night, I felt like God was saying to go to this particular Walmart to pray for the people there. If you live in Orlando, you may be familiar with the demon-infested Walmart on Kirkman Road (by Universal Studios). I have had many unpleasant experiences there, including my cashier throwing up a clear fluid everywhere when I asked her how she was doing. What was in her, apparently did not like Who was in me!

So we (Lisa and I) went to this pit to claim it back for the Lord. It is crazy to us sometimes to be walking around praying over people who don’t know us. Sometimes, I think to myself, “I’ve turned into one of those crazy Christians I used to make fun of”. However, when you have seen into the spirit realm, and the reality of the demonic forces that are present and operating all over the place, you will understand that this is a serious matter. It is up to us to put an end to it, and stand on the authority that we have through Jesus Christ!

We started walking around, and instantly we knew something was different in the atmosphere. This place felt so different! First, there was hardly anyone there, which is almost unheard of (for any Walmart), and second, everyone was busy doing their jobs. A strange concept, I know, but in this place, the workers are normally in groups talking and acting like they are at a club having fun, rather than working.

As we were walking, a piece of artwork caught my eye. I couldn’t tell what it was, but it caught my eye, and as I got closer I realized it was Moses parting the Red Sea. “Interesting”, I thought to myself. I moved it over, and behind it was a picture of Jesus! What?! Jesus in a Walmart?!

That wasn’t it. Right across from that was a display in the center of the isle that featured over 20 styles of Jesus t-shirts. I was in shock by this point. I couldn’t believe that in this day and age, with the people in this country worried about offending everyone, that a corporation like Walmart would carry a product like this! The shirts said things like, “Jesus Saves, Jesus loves you, etc.”

Did I miss something? Apparently, we weren’t the only ones being instructed to pray for this place!

Jericho March

Lisa and I had an amazing encounter with God tonight! I went over around 9:30pm, and we started with some good fellowship.

At church today, the pastor mentioned that about 60 people walked 50-something miles around Orlando, claiming the city for the Lord. During the sermon, Lisa passed me a note saying that she felt like God was telling her to do this around her apartment complex (located in a rough spot of town).

So, as we were talking tonight, she mentioned it again. I was a little hesitant because it was now about 10:30pm, and again, a dangerous part of town. However, I started to feel the presence of God, and I knew in my spirit that this is what we were supposed to do tonight.

I wanted to remember what scripture the pastor was talking about when he mentioned this walk, so I had some kind of foundation before our little mission. I couldn’t remember who the story was about though. Lisa says, “Well let’s just ask God to remind us.” Oh yeah, why didn’t I think of that? I got the answer almost immediately, and opened up to Joshua and the story of the march around Jericho. I love it when the Holy Spirit does that! I recognized this story, because I had done what I called a “Jericho March” before. I didn’t know the whole story though, so I got another little lesson from God. We stepped outside, and said a prayer for protection, and then started our own march for the Lord.

The first time around the complex we saw some sexual perversion going on in the back seat of a car. We cast out that demon, and kept walking. I said, “let it end now God. Put an end to that perversion!” We saw another suspicious car that was parked with its lights on, and they shut them off when we started getting close. Kind of suspicious, but we continued on. We noticed this little cat too that was following us the whole time, and the clouds were covering the stars.

The second time around, we noticed God had answered our prayer for the couple having sex in the car. They were outside of the car now, and hugging. It’s a step up, right? The cat was still following us, and the suspicious car was still there… being suspicious. The clouds were starting to clear.

The fourth time around, I realized the people in the suspicious car were smoking weed, and I went after that spirit of addiction, and drug use. I commanded it to leave, and I said to God, “Father, let them feel conviction for what they are doing, and let them put that joint out, and go home and repent.” Then I said, “I expect that car to be gone by the fifth lap, in the name of Jesus.” The clouds cleared some more.

The fifth time around, the suspicious car was gone. Praise the Lord! He was listening to us, and honoring our prayers! The sky was almost completely clear now.

By the seventh lap, the sky was completely clear of clouds, and the stars were shining brighter than I have seen them in a while! To me, it symbolizes the work that we were doing for God. The cat was with us every single lap. I’m not sure what it meant, but I felt like God sent it there for a reason.

We both felt a lightness, and oddly enough, we were not tired out from our walk at all. Normally I would be done after the first or second lap! God not only provided us with the protection that we needed, but the energy to accomplish what He set us out to do.

Afterwards, we had some personal time with God, and His presence really filled the room. Lisa fell down because the power was so heavy, and we had much joy from this encounter. I can’t wait until I’m reunited with Jesus in Heaven! Can you imagine how great it will be to worship Him 24/7 (if time existed), with no distractions? I mean, if we are able to feel His tangible presence on Earth, it is just going to rock when we are before His throne!

Fragrance of the Lord

Something mysterious happened at a recent prayer meeting at church, and I’m going to share it with you now!

My friend Lisa and I were praying up front with everyone at the end of the meeting. We had joined hands, and I had joined hands with two guys to my right. After the prayer, I smelled this incredible smell on my left hand, and assumed that Lisa had some kind of lotion on. I mentioned something to her about the smell, and she said she could smell it too, but it wasn’t anything that she put on.

That caused me to smell my right hand (that was not touching her), and the fragrance was on that hand too! It’s impossible to describe what this smelled like, but we both thought that it was the fragrance of Jesus. It was sweet, and earthy like oil and perfume. It was so strong, and it smelled so good that we were sniffing away the whole ride home! It was only on our hands, not on our clothes or anywhere else. We both have never experienced anything like this before! If this is what Jesus smells like, I can’t wait to see Him in heaven!

Of course I did some google searching to see if anyone else had experienced this before, or if they had an answer to this mystery. I didn’t have any luck but I did find this: www.hisessence.com

They have candles that are inspired by scriptures in the bible!

I’m buying some right now, just to see if they got it right;)
